Tex finishing ahead of Derek Jeter is disappointing. Is Derek Jeter the most underrated overrated player ever? I think the answer has to be "yes," if you can parse what that even means.

Wow, I misread that. I thought Jeter was second--and even told Dad as much. Now I feel stupid. Also, I was looking at some of Bonds' great years, and that stuff is just disgusting.
Luckily Derek Jeter is about the most grounded professional athlete out there, and it wouldn't surprise me a bit that his first move after the announcement was to congratulate both Joe and Mark. I wonder if there is a way to find out. Probably. If I were more curious, or less confident in Jeter, I would bother to try.
